Electrician III / Specialist – $3,000 Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

The Electrician III / Specialist will perform electrical and electromechanical repairs, support system grooms and checkouts, and validate configurations on shipboard and shop environments. The position involves heavy lifting, work in confined spaces, and frequent travel.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, overhaul, or modify electrical and electromechanical systems and components.
• Troubleshoot components and systems to diagnose problems.
• Assist with on‑site field service for system grooms, minor repairs, and configuration validation.
• Prepare and install equipment or system alterations according to technical specifications.
• Conduct shipboard evaluations of electrical systems and components.

Required profile

• High School/GED with an apprenticeship diploma or technical school training; experience with marine electrical systems.
• U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret/Confidential security clearance, and eligibility for government base access.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work overtime as needed.
