About the role
The Duty of Care Senior Manager leads Applied Materials’ global programs that protect employees who travel, work on site, or face other risk exposures. This senior role combines security expertise with AI‑driven risk analytics to create faster, smarter, and more resilient safety solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and enhance the global Travel Risk Management, Workplace Violence Prevention, Kidnap & Ransom and Workforce Assurance programs.
- Monitor travel activity, geopolitical developments and emerging threats to issue timely advisories and pre‑travel briefings.
- Serve as trusted advisor to leadership on duty‑of‑care risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Design and maintain workplace violence prevention protocols, threat assessment and crisis intervention procedures.
- Manage the company’s Kidnap & Ransom insurance program and relationships with brokers and crisis consultants.
- Develop and lead a Workforce Assurance center of excellence for background vetting and drug testing.
- Apply AI tools for travel risk monitoring, predictive threat scenario planning, automated case triage and intelligent alerting.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading global Duty of Care or security programs.
- Deep knowledge of AI applications in risk management and hands‑on experience with AI‑driven tools.
- Strong understanding of ISO 31030, ISO 45001, FCRA and related regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate with security, HR, legal, IT and executive leadership across a matrixed organization.
