About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a dynamic Director of Communications and Brand Strategy to support the athletics department. This twelve‑month, full‑time position will work closely with the Assistant Athletics Director to shape the voice and visual identity of a Division I sports information program.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute all phases of the sports information department’s operations.
- Lead marketing initiatives for the athletics brand, including campaigns, media outreach, and content creation.
- Serve as the primary communications contact for the women’s basketball program.
- Collaborate with coaches, athletes, and university stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and university policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum two years of experience in sports information or athletic media relations.
- Strong understanding of Division I athletics environments.
Required skills
- Proficiency with TAS Software (sports information management).
- Adobe InDesign.
- Adobe Photoshop.
