Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – TOSH/Urology Clinic

About the role

The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist provides high‑quality imaging services for the TOSH/Urology Clinic, supporting physicians in diagnosing and treating urologic conditions. This full‑time, day‑shift position works onsite at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X‑ray, fluoroscopy, and other imaging modalities, following established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, verify correct patient identification, and explain procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate radiology equipment, perform routine quality‑control checks, and report any malfunctions.
• Document imaging studies accurately in the electronic health record and transmit images to radiologists.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and monitor exposure levels.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to optimize imaging workflows.

Required profile

• ARRT certification or equivalent radiologic technologist credential.
• Current state license to practice as a radiology technologist.
• Experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a urology or outpatient setting.
• Ability to work day‑shift hours and maintain a professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and dose‑optimization techniques.
• Patient positioning and image acquisition expertise.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems for image documentation.
