About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist on a PRN (as‑needed) basis. This temporary, fixed‑term position supports the radiology department by delivering high‑quality imaging services across varied shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X‑ray, fluoroscopy, and other imaging modalities as required.
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and proper positioning.
- Document imaging studies accurately and transmit results to physicians promptly.
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and departmental protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care.
Required profile
- Current certification as a Radiology Technologist (ARRT or equivalent).
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Required skills
- Operation of diagnostic radiology imaging equipment.
