Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Main Hospital

About the role

This full‑time position in the Main Hospital Diagnostic Radiology Department produces radiographic images for medical interpretation, interacts with clinical and clerical staff, patients, families, and visitors, and ensures high‑quality exams while supervising others.

Key responsibilities

• Produce optimal X‑ray images and enter patient data into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Rotate through multiple modalities, including portable units, surgery, fluoroscopy, and the emergency department.
• Train new residents on fluoroscopy procedures and perform quality assurance on images.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, co‑workers, and physicians.
• Maintain ongoing education and adopt new imaging procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduated from a 2‑year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology.
• Registered or eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Radiology Technology by the State of Arkansas.
• Current CPR certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Radiology Information System (RIS) software.
• Competence in X‑ray imaging and fluoroscopy techniques.
