DevOps Engineer

About the role

Vehlo is looking for a hands‑on DevOps Engineer to drive its 2026 platform strategy. You will work remotely from anywhere in the United States, partnering with a small, high‑impact team to improve observability, security, and cost efficiency across its AWS‑based services.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage New Relic APM, infrastructure, and browser agents across AWS services (ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, EC2, EKS).
• Standardize alert policies, dashboards, and telemetry ingestion using Terraform.
• Lead migration to GitHub Enterprise, configure SSO, branch protections, CODEOWNERS, and Advanced Security.
• Build reusable GitHub Actions workflows and operationalize vulnerability data into Jira with SLA tracking.
• Design and administer Jira projects, Confluence spaces, and centralized reporting for risk and performance.
• Handle day‑to‑day platform operations such as Dependabot triage, alert tuning, and deployment support.

Required profile

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure‑as‑code tooling.
• Proven ability to implement observability solutions and manage security pipelines.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative mindset with a focus on shipping code and resolving incidents.
