Design Architect

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Design Architect to join its U.S. team. You will create state‑of‑the‑art facilities, using Revit to develop building designs, layout plans, and coordinated multidisciplinary models for client review.

Key responsibilities

• Design various building types primarily with Revit.
• Plan and program project layouts and integrate architectural, engineering, and other discipline elements.
• Direct and review work of drafting staff during Conceptual, Schematic, and Detailed Design phases.
• Prepare drawings and specification documents for each design phase.
• Travel periodically to construction sites for coordination and review.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant architectural experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience with Revit, basic rendering/publishing tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to coordinate with internal architectural and engineering teams and work independently.
• Registered Architect (RA) credential or progress toward licensure is ideal.
• Project management experience and participation in professional organizations are a plus.
