About the role

Netflix is looking for a Data Scientist focused on the TV domain to shape the core product experience and influence how millions of members discover content. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to drive product innovation while keeping a member‑centric perspective.

Key responsibilities

• Drive product innovation through robust measurement across experimentation, modeling, and analytics.
• Apply a member‑centric lens to identify pain points and understand cohort engagement with product interventions.
• Shape early investments in emerging technologies such as GenAI to improve the discovery experience.
• Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders to define product strategy, new metrics, and vision.
• Develop experimentation and measurement frameworks that increase investment velocity and support complex decision‑making.
• Produce trustworthy, high‑quality outputs that guide member‑experience decisions.
• Leverage AI‑assisted workflows to accelerate learning, prototyping, and insight generation.

Required profile

• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong judgment and thought partnership, capable of driving ambiguous, high‑impact problems.
• Statistical intuition with experience applying experimentation and product analytics to consumer‑facing challenges.
• Technical fluency across SQL, statistical programming, and modern AI‑assisted analytical workflows.
• Curiosity and adaptability in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
• Experience with algorithms as a product, such as recommendation or ranking systems.
