CW-Oncologist (Associate Professor – Contractor)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a CW‑Oncologist to join its Radiation Oncology faculty as an Associate Professor on a contractor basis. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality direct patient care to cancer patients while supporting the institution’s mission of education, research, and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct oncology patient care (approximately 82.5% of time).
• Perform surgery and clinic duties (about 5% of time).
• Participate in on‑call coverage for radiation oncology services (approximately 2.5% of time).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive cancer treatment.
• Contribute to the academic environment through teaching and mentorship as needed.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) degree.
• Board eligibility or certification in Oncology/Radiation Oncology.
• Fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 or hold an approved medical/religious exemption.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Required skills

• Radiation Oncology clinical expertise.
• Proficiency in oncologic patient care and treatment planning.
• Ability to perform surgical and clinic procedures related to cancer care.
• Experience with on‑call coverage in an academic medical setting.
