Controller – Accounting Operations Lead

About the role

Unite America is seeking a full‑time Controller to join its Strategy & Operations team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance & Strategy, the Controller will own the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting across a portfolio of affiliated entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes for multiple entities.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, cash management, and financial reporting systems.
• Provide decision‑ready financial information, including performance analysis, variance explanations, and risk assessments.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues, implementing practical solutions and process improvements.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to align financial data with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Deep technical expertise in GAAP and multi‑entity financial management.
• Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for leadership.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Self‑starter attitude in a lean, fast‑growing environment.
