Construction Assistant Superintendent

About the role

The Assistant Construction Superintendent will oversee daily on‑site activities for new ground‑up multifamily housing projects. This role requires strong coordination of subcontractors, material deliveries, and safety protocols while supporting the Superintendent in keeping projects on schedule and within quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce company safety policies.
• Manage subcontractor relationships, including coordination, scheduling, and quality control.
• Maintain comprehensive jobsite documentation such as subcontracts, purchase orders, plans, safety logs, and inspection records.
• Assist the Superintendent with weekly schedule updates and project planning.
• Participate in weekly site meetings to align subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and on‑site personnel.
• Conduct quality‑control inspections for all trades and verify material compliance with specifications.
• Schedule and track material deliveries and pickups.
• Perform required inspections by local building authorities, owners, and lenders.
• Complete administrative forms, reports, and other required paperwork in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel or relocate to various project locations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with diverse project stakeholders.
• Commitment to adhering to Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other relevant regulations.
