Compensation Program Analyst – Physician & Faculty

About the role

The Physician & Faculty Compensation Program Analyst provides financial, technical and administrative support for physician, faculty and advanced practice provider compensation programs at the University of Miami. The role involves plan design, costing, incentive administration, productivity reconciliation and payment execution under the direction of the Director.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate, validate and reconcile incentive, productivity and contractual payments across quarterly and annual cycles.
• Prepare and validate Workday EIB or comparable payment files, tracking calendars, approvals and exceptions.
• Translate approved plan concepts into calculation methodologies, payout schedules and operational formulas.
• Document assumptions, definitions, exclusions and calculation logic for transparent plan administration.
• Develop financial cost projections and perform scenario, sensitivity and year‑over‑year analyses.
• Compare projected and actual financial results, prepare executive summaries for leadership.
• Analyze incentive outcomes, payment patterns and cost drivers to identify trends and outliers.
• Support Workday system testing, calculation validation and implementation for compensation modules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Learning agility to adopt new procedures, technologies and protocols.
• Teamwork ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Technical proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
