Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Sub-Investigator)

About the role

The Clinical Research Division at The IMA Group is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as a Sub-Investigator on patient‑focused clinical trials in New York City. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative therapies while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate potential study participants and determine eligibility for clinical trials.
• Perform physical examinations and study‑related assessments.
• Ensure compliance with study protocols, sponsor requirements, and internal SOPs.
• Collaborate with sponsors, study monitors, and medical monitors.
• Complete required sponsor training and attend investigator meetings as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Required profile

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical and/or research experience.
• Clinical research experience preferred, but strong clinical background and willingness to learn research processes are acceptable.
