CIB Market Risk Associate – Risk Management

About the role

The CIB Market Risk Associate will join Santander's risk management team, supporting a broad range of businesses including securitized products, rates, credit, equity and convertibles. You will help ensure robust risk infrastructure, accurate reporting and timely analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support of the risk management infrastructure.
• Perform daily risk reporting and performance analysis.
• Conduct ad‑hoc risk analysis and support senior risk managers.
• Lead project and change‑management initiatives.
• Participate in regulatory projects.
• Utilize Python scripting or AI to automate routine tasks and improve monitoring efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in market risk, trading, or financial market technology within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and solid Python experience.
• Solid understanding of financial products and market risk metrics.
• Excellent reporting, project‑management and organizational abilities.
• Quantitative skills such as statistics.
