Chemical Operator – Production Plant

About the role

Join BASF Care Chemicals as a Chemical Operator in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will work on rotating shifts to ensure safe, efficient operation of chemical processing equipment, supporting the production of personal‑care, home‑care, industrial and agro‑chemical products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate reactors, refining and filtration systems, and other production equipment.
• Load and unload tank trucks and rail cars, and receive truck deliveries.
• Collect samples from tanks, vessels and rail cars for quality testing.
• Perform visual inspections of equipment and monitor the Distributed Control System (DCS).
• Read, record and interpret instrument data (reactors, tanks, pumps, filtration systems) and make corrective adjustments.
• Use computer systems to complete work assignments with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Willingness to work rotating 24/7 shifts.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Basic technical aptitude for operating and troubleshooting production equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret instrument readings and documentation.
