About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its peri‑operative services team. The role involves providing anesthesia, sedation and pain‑management care to patients across a range of surgical procedures while ensuring safety and compliance with institutional policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document pre‑anesthesia assessments and evaluations.
• Review, request, and order laboratory and diagnostic studies as permitted.
• Obtain informed consent for anesthesia services.
• Select, order, and administer pre‑anesthetic medications and treatments.
• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
• Select, prepare, and operate anesthesia equipment, invasive and non‑invasive monitors, supplies, and drugs.
• Conduct safety checks and monitor patients throughout the peri‑operative period.

Required profile

• Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Compliance with COVID‑19 vaccination policy or approved exemption.

Required skills

• Use of anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices.
• Patient pre‑anesthesia assessment and evaluation.
