Cash Impact at Scale Strategy Consultant

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Cash Impact at Scale Strategy Consultant to shape its cash and voucher assistance (CVA) strategy worldwide. This remote, short‑term consultancy will support IRC’s ambition to become a leading innovator in cash assistance, driving higher impact for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate innovative cash delivery models that can increase reach, speed and efficiency.
• Develop actionable strategy documents that outline pathways for sector‑wide change and resource mobilization.
• Collaborate with IRC’s Quality in Emergencies and Economic Recovery & Development technical units and senior leadership.
• Produce iterative deliverables, including market analyses, risk assessments, and implementation road‑maps.
• Provide recommendations on how IRC can influence humanitarian norms and attract additional funding for cash programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian cash assistance, economic recovery or related fields.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality outputs within tight timelines.
