Business Development Manager – Strategic Partnerships

About the role

Meta is investing unprecedented capital in AI infrastructure and needs a senior leader to drive strategic partnership initiatives. The Business Development Manager will work at the nexus of external partnership strategy and infrastructure investment, advising on capacity deals, energy collaborations, and capital‑intensive structures.

Key responsibilities

  • Support infrastructure capacity deals across cloud, lease, and self‑build pipelines, evaluating developer credibility, cost structures, power procurement and financing terms.
  • Structure large‑scale capital partnership vehicles (SPVs, JVs, tax‑equity, project finance) in close coordination with Finance, Legal and Infrastructure teams.
  • Provide strategic analysis of energy and data‑center market dynamics, including generation technologies, grid and utility economics, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Synthesize intelligence from multiple deal workstreams to deliver unified capital allocation recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Act as the domain expert on infrastructure and financing within the Business Development team, ensuring informed perspectives in cross‑functional forums.

Required profile

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure finance, energy project development, or capital markets, with direct involvement in $1B+ project finance or JV structuring.
  • Deep knowledge of energy and power markets, generation technologies, PPA structures and utility economics.
  • Proven track record evaluating or negotiating data‑center, hyperscaler or large‑load infrastructure deals.
  • Ability to operate across engineering, legal, finance and commercial disciplines and translate complex deal structures into strategic recommendations.

Required skills

  • Project finance and structured finance expertise (tax equity, project debt, securitization, SPV formation).
  • Energy market analysis, power procurement and PPA structuring.
  • Experience with large‑scale partnership vehicles (SPVs, JVs, joint ventures).
