Business Development Manager – Remote (Freight & Logistics)

About the role
We are seeking a results‑driven Business Development Manager to join a fast‑growing freight and logistics provider. This fully remote, hunter‑focused position is responsible for generating new revenue by acquiring high‑value international freight clients.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business across global freight markets.
- Own the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing.
- Conduct virtual and face‑to‑face meetings with senior decision‑makers.
- Identify and secure strategic accounts that drive long‑term growth.
- Upsell and cross‑sell freight and logistics solutions to existing clients.
- Maintain a robust pipeline, follow up relentlessly, and re‑engage lost opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and ensure client retention.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of proven success in freight forwarding or logistics sales.
- Hunter mentality with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Deep knowledge of international freight (import/export, consolidation, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and decision‑makers.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
