Box Room Associate – 1st Shift

About the role

The Box Room Associate works the first shift (7:00 am‑3:30 pm, Monday‑Friday) assembling boxes, handling unmade box material, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. The role involves both manual and machine‑assisted tasks and requires strict adherence to safety and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Move unmade box material from trucks using hydraulic hand trucks and carry stacks of boxes to the box machine.
• Load material into the box machine, retrieve glue, and place lids on the lid track.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures for light maintenance and clean‑up, and dispose of trash and crushed boxes.
• Maintain the box room at shift end, covering boxes and ensuring cleanliness.
• Follow break schedules and perform line‑condensation checks.
• Assist other departments as needed and complete any additional duties assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to work unsupervised, self‑motivated and reliable.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, or extended hours when required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in the poultry industry is a plus.
• Basic math skills and sound work ethic.
