About the role
Peek Law Group is seeking an experienced, detail‑oriented Removal Defense Immigration Paralegal to provide critical support to attorneys handling removal and deportation defense cases. The position is fully remote and requires consistent availability during U.S. business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, prepare, and assemble motions, petitions, and supporting documents for court, including asylum and cancellation of removal cases.
- Organize case files, manage deadlines, and ensure timely communication and updates to clients.
- Conduct legal research to stay current on removal‑related immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing case updates and answering inquiries.
- Support attorneys in case preparation, research, and client interactions, and independently manage the assigned docket.
Required profile
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in U.S. immigration removal or deportation cases, including work with EOIR.
- Strong drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with U.S. legal procedures and immigration court documentation.
