Audit Specialist – Accounts Receivable

About the role

Focus Camera is seeking an analytical Audit Specialist to lead comprehensive audits of third‑party settlements and oversee accounts receivable activities. Based in the Brooklyn office, you will act as a key financial control point, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation across multiple sales platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct full‑cycle audits of third‑party sales channels (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy), reviewing sales, refunds, chargebacks, fees and related expenses.
• Reconcile platform settlements with bank statements and internal systems, confirming completeness and accuracy.
• Audit shipping service platforms and verify that all transaction costs are captured correctly.
• Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in collections, deductions or reporting.
• Maintain documentation standards to support internal controls and external reviews, including tax audit preparation.
• Oversee accounts receivable, reconcile cash inflows, monitor aging reports and proactively address delinquent balances.
• Collaborate with the B2B sales team to resolve overdue accounts while preserving client relationships.
• Communicate audit findings to management and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on financial accuracy and control.
• Experience in auditing, accounts receivable, or related finance functions.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
