Associate Roadway Engineer

About the role

Parsons is one of the world’s largest transportation planning, engineering, and construction firms and is now hiring for an Associate Roadway Engineer to join our Minneapolis office. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support some of the region's biggest infrastructure projects working alongside a world‑class team of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with development of geometric design of highways and roads, including horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, super‑elevations, gore details, vertical clearance calculations and grading plans.
• Perform material quantity takeoffs, estimates and surveys as needed.
• Use design software to implement project designs.
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, designers, and other engineers on the project.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Related work experience and/or internships.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) certificate preferred.
• Basic process engineering knowledge and working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• No security clearance required.
