About the role

We are seeking an Associate Legal News Editor to join our editorial team. You will monitor legal developments, write concise news articles, and help shape daily content for both web and print publications.

Key responsibilities

• Gather news and identify relevant official documents in assigned practice areas.
• Select which developments to report and digest court opinions and litigation documents.
• Write and upload news articles daily to the website and print outlets.
• Meet all deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards.
• Review web‑usage analytics to guide future content focus.

Required profile

• Experience in hard‑news reporting with strong news judgment.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications (relevant experience may substitute).
• Ability to multitask, reprioritize, and work independently.
• Capability to understand and explain complex legal topics.
• Excellent interviewing and networking skills with attorney sources.
• Willingness to work Eastern Time Zone hours.
