Associate Engineer

About the role

Presidio is seeking an Associate Engineer to develop scalable, cutting‑edge software solutions for enterprise clients. You will work with cross‑functional teams to design, build, and deliver applications that leverage modern cloud and data technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services using frameworks such as Jersey or Spring.
• Develop and maintain relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, Couchbase, Elasticsearch, MongoDB) databases.
• Build cloud‑native applications on AWS or Azure, applying CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and sales to define technical requirements and present solution proposals.
• Participate in design reviews, test‑driven development, and continuous integration pipelines.
• Explore emerging technologies and coordinate project activities to keep momentum.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of professional programming experience.
• Experience with backend development, open‑source frameworks, relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with agile tools (JIRA) and DevOps tools (Docker, Gradle, Git).
• Ability to work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
