Assistant Superintendent – Omaha

About the role

D.R. Horton, the nation’s largest homebuilder, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent on a community job site in Omaha. The role focuses on ensuring quality construction, schedule adherence, and excellent homeowner experience throughout the building process.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily for workmanship quality and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Schedule and accompany inspectors for all required inspections.
• Walk completed homes before homeowner walk‑throughs, note any deficiencies, and coordinate repairs.
• Conduct homeowner orientations and final walk‑throughs to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in managing subcontractors, monitoring safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.
• Enforce site safety programs and D.R. Horton cleanliness standards.
• Help manage construction materials to prevent damage, waste, and theft.
• Support the construction schedule to deliver homes on time and within budget.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to two years of related construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites.
• Ability to work overtime and additional hours as needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of building codes, construction materials, and scheduling.
