Assistant Project Manager – Healthcare Projects

About the role

JRM is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support healthcare‑related construction projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee financial and administrative aspects, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Execute administrative and financial tasks such as insurance coordination, billing, change‑order management, profitability tracking, and project close‑outs.
• Manage the full change‑order process from scope review and pricing solicitation to packaging and presentation.
• Oversee billing activities, including setup, issuance, receivable tracking, and subcontractor payments.
• Assist the Project Manager in communicating project impacts, delays, and scope changes.
• Process submittals, RFIs, and other construction administration documents.
• Support monthly requisition processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain project documentation and financial records using JRM’s ERP and construction‑management software.
• Work independently on small‑to‑medium projects or collaborate with senior managers on larger, complex assignments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with 1‑2 years in a field‑based role.
• Strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and ability to multitask under pressure.
• Excellent time‑management and deadline‑driven work ethic.
• Ability to read and interpret commercial construction plans and specifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using ERP systems and construction‑management software.
