Assistant Buyer – Fashion Retail

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Buyer to support the DKNY Stores buying team in New York City. The role will help develop seasonal assortments, analyse sales data and ensure product flow to both brick‑and‑mortar and e‑commerce channels.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Buyer in creating and executing seasonal merchandise assortments that meet brand and business goals.
• Analyse weekly sales, inventory and performance reports to identify opportunities and inform buying decisions.
• Create and maintain purchase orders, product setup information and assortment documentation.
• Track deliveries and monitor purchase order status to guarantee timely product flow to stores and online channels.
• Support inventory management through reporting, reorder recommendations and stock analysis.
• Collaborate with Planning, Allocation, Visual Merchandising and Store Operations on seasonal launches and product execution.
• Prepare presentations, recaps and reports for line reviews, business meetings and seasonal hindsight analysis.
• Maintain accurate product information and merchandising data across internal systems.
