Assistant Bakery Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager to support our Chandler, AZ bakery. In this pipeline role you will work closely with the Bakery Operations Manager, handling day‑to‑day bakery functions while developing the leadership skills needed to run a bakery independently.

Key responsibilities

• Execute core bakery operations including inventory rotation, ordering, shrink control and maintaining food‑safety standards.
• Support scheduling, labor planning and staffing coordination to meet operational targets.
• Maintain product quality, cleanliness and guest experience standards.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding and training of new team members.
• Provide real‑time coaching, performance feedback and enforce accountability.
• Manage bakery operations independently when the BOM is absent, ensuring continuity during staffing gaps.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of leadership experience in restaurant, retail or hospitality operations.
• Strong operational discipline, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with bakery or food‑service operations.
• Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak periods.
