Application Developer (I/II/III) – San Jose, CA

About the role

The Information Technology department is seeking an Application Developer at one of three levels (I, II, or III) to design, develop, implement, and support in‑house and vendor applications. The role focuses on accurate data exchange with trading partners and ensuring regulatory compliance for SCFHP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain existing applications and develop new ones to meet business needs.
• Utilize data analysis and query techniques to generate internal reports; for level III, develop and maintain a data warehouse.
• Review and improve processes, recommending solutions that increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Assess and troubleshoot production issues of varying scale, reviewing logs, source code, and data to implement fixes.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and users throughout the project lifecycle to gather requirements, test solutions, and demonstrate functionality.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute input to development teams.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in application design, development, implementation, and support.
• Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and, for senior level, work with data‑warehouse concepts.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for troubleshooting production issues.
• Effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
