Anesthesia Technician – Main Operating Room

About the role

The Anesthesia Technician works in the Main Operating Room supporting the anesthesia team and ensuring that all equipment, supplies, and medications are prepared and available for surgical cases. This position is part of the Clinical Staff – Medical Ancillary Support at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for each case.
• Assist anesthesia providers with patient positioning, monitoring, and medication administration as directed.
• Ensure sterility and proper functioning of all devices throughout the surgical day.
• Document equipment usage and report any issues to the appropriate department.
• Maintain compliance with hospital safety and infection‑control policies.

Required profile

• Current University of Arkansas System employee (including student employees or graduate assistants) with access to Workday.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Commitment to patient safety and teamwork in a fast‑paced OR environment.
