Advanced Practice RN/Physician Assistant – Hospital Medicine

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Hospital Medicine team. In this role you will deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care to in‑patients, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and adjust treatment plans, and order appropriate diagnostics.
• Provide direct bedside care, including procedures, medication management, and patient education.
• Document all clinical activities accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted license as an APRN or PA in the United States.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Experience in acute‑care or hospital medicine settings preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work autonomously within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
