Adjunct Psychology Instructor (Part‑time)

About the role

Atlanta Technical College is seeking a part‑time Adjunct Instructor to teach General Education Psychology courses to a diverse student body. The position reports to the Dean of Arts and Sciences and the Department Program Chair and is based at the main campus south of downtown Atlanta.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver course content using appropriate teaching techniques and maintain accurate grade records.
• Develop and follow approved syllabi, administer tests, and evaluate student progress.
• Advise and counsel students, keeping thorough advisement records.
• Maintain classroom and lab safety standards and participate in departmental meetings.
• Assist with student recruitment, job placement, and serve on college committees.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours.
• Minimum one year of teaching experience in a secondary or post‑secondary setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours and, if needed, teach at additional locations.
• Compliance with Technical College System of Georgia accreditation and employment policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the BANNER student information system.
• Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) for course delivery.
