Adjunct Nursing Faculty

About the role

The University of Tulsa’s Oxley College of Health Sciences seeks an Adjunct Nursing Faculty member to teach a specific nursing course during an academic semester. The position reports directly to the BSN program director and focuses solely on classroom instruction and related course responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop or modify the course syllabus and select appropriate textbooks or materials.
• Deliver instruction for scheduled class sessions, including final exams or assessments.
• Create a learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Maintain regular communication with students, providing feedback and responding to inquiries.
• Submit grades and course data in compliance with TU policies and standards.

Required profile

• Minimum of a master’s degree in the relevant subject area.
• Subject‑matter expertise and, if required, a professional license or certification.
• Professional experience in the content‑related area.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Preferred: doctoral degree for graduate‑level courses and prior college teaching experience.
