Adjunct English Instructor – Helena Campus

About the role

The Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach English courses on its Helena campus. This fixed‑term position offers the opportunity to engage undergraduate students in composition and literature while contributing to the college’s academic mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Composition I and Composition II courses.
• Teach World Literature I and World Literature II courses.
• Teach Basic Writing I, as needed.
• Develop and deliver course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in English (minimum 18 graduate credit hours in English).
• Demonstrated ability to teach composition, literature, or basic writing at the college level.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
