Youth Sports Coach (Part-Time)

About the role

Amazing Athletes, a multi-sport enrichment program founded in 2003 with over 50,000 children enrolled each year, is hiring part-time Youth Sports Coaches. Coaches teach fun, high-energy, multi-sport classes to children aged 18 months to 12 years in Cumming, Suwanee, Canton, Gainesville, Woodstock, Buford, Lawrenceville and surrounding areas. New coaches can work 5-25 classes per week, earning $18 to $30 per hour, with on-the-job training, a flexible schedule and performance-based incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging sports programs based on the Amazing Athletes curriculum
• Teach children basic sports skills while emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship
• Travel to local preschools, daycares and community centers to run classes
• Monitor and record each child's progress in a safe, fun environment
• Build positive relationships with parents, teachers and facility staff

Required profile

• At least 18 years old, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel to locations in Cumming, Suwanee, Canton, Gainesville, Woodstock and Lawrenceville, driving up to an hour for some sites
• Ideally based within 30 minutes of one or more service areas
• Available to start immediately, with a few hours of training each week
• Must undergo fingerprinting and pass a Georgia comprehensive background check
• Experience working with children or a sports background is preferred

Required skills

• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Access to a mobile device for scheduling and class management
• Availability primarily in the mornings, Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM and 2:00 PM-5:00 PM
