About the role
This part‑time, seasonal position supports the coordination and operation of youth soccer and basketball programs in Bangor during the fall and winter seasons. The role involves hands‑on setup, game‑day management, and basic custodial duties.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and breaking down sports facilities, including field and court preparation.
- Work Saturdays as needed from late August through late February.
- Manage game‑day logistics: operate game clocks, keep score, handle substitutions, and enforce rules.
- Distribute game checks to referees and find replacements when necessary.
- Maintain clean and stocked restrooms and perform light custodial tasks after games.
- Serve as the point of contact for game‑day questions, relay information to the Recreation Coordinator, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
