Yard Hand – Construction

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Yard Hand to support our construction fleet and equipment yard. The role involves keeping the yard clean, organized, and safe while assisting with the movement and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Pressure‑wash heavy equipment and work trucks.
• Inventory small tools, power equipment, and other supplies.
• Clear work areas of debris and maintain a hazard‑free site.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment.
• Store materials properly to prevent damage or loss.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• Identify and report potential hazards to supervisors.
• Perform occasional weekend work as needed.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift, move, and stack objects up to 100 lb safely.
• Comfortable setting and climbing ladders.
• Willingness to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors year‑round in extreme weather.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on safety and quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with iPads or tablets.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
