About the role

The Lexington County School District One is seeking qualified educators to teach elementary Spanish to students in grades 1 through 5. This full‑time position focuses on developing students' language proficiency and cultural appreciation while supporting the district’s academic goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish to elementary students (grades 1‑5).
  • Introduce and celebrate the cultures of Spanish‑speaking countries.
  • Provide tutoring, develop curriculum materials, and conduct peer evaluations as needed.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the school district, including curriculum writing and related tasks.

Required profile

  • U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
  • Valid South Carolina teaching certificate with appropriate specialization.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Willingness to work with elementary grade levels (1‑5) and adapt to district needs.
