Workday HRIS Analyst – Onsite (Santa Clara)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a highly motivated Workday HRIS Analyst to support the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of Workday Talent and Performance modules. The role focuses on data integrity, system improvements, and delivering HR technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement technology‑driven HR solutions.
• Partner with HR SMEs to document workflows and procedures.
• Roll out new Workday functionality and manage enhancements based on stakeholder requests.
• Create and maintain detailed business requirements and functional designs.
• Conduct testing (unit, regression, UAT) and support release planning for Workday updates.
• Assess out‑of‑the‑box reporting/dashboard options and recommend optimal solutions.
• Monitor and improve processes, technology, and data quality.
• Lead project management activities for HR system initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in MIS, IT, Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5‑7 years of experience as a Workday functional expert in talent management and reporting.
• Strong consultative and relationship‑building skills with HR and cross‑functional partners.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, high‑demand environment.
• Self‑starter with quick learning ability and ownership mindset.
