Work Coordinator – Community Development (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Elevate Work Coordinator supports unemployed and underemployed individuals by recruiting students and mentors, coordinating affiliate sites, and delivering Elevate Work classes. Reporting to the Elevate Work Director, this part‑time role blends community outreach with administrative oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and orient prospective students; maintain student files and track attendance and graduation progress.
• Recruit, onboard, and match mentors with students; schedule mentor check‑ins and provide ongoing communication.
• Coordinate partner churches and affiliate locations, manage classroom logistics, and maintain communication with site coordinators.
• Schedule business speakers, arrange mock interviews, and assist with employer outreach and hiring partner relationships.
• Maintain databases, prepare reports, coordinate graduations, and track program outcomes.

Required profile

• Excellent public speaking and orientation‑leading abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to recruit volunteers and manage multiple priorities.
