WordPress Developer – Build & Optimize Custom Frameworks

About the role

Mobomo is seeking a WordPress Developer to design, build, and maintain custom delivery frameworks for client websites. You will lead technical efforts, blend design aesthetics with solid programming practices, and ensure optimal performance across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and designers to define scope and deliver solutions.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and customize WordPress to meet specific functionality.
• Maintain and document plugins, themes, and code modifications.
• Architect, build, and sustain a reusable delivery framework for websites.
• Produce new user‑facing features, reusable code libraries, and optimize performance for scalability.
• Deliver functional, testable code on schedule using Agile methodologies.
• Migrate existing sites to WordPress and support current client websites.

Required profile

• Excellent written and oral communication with a passion for knowledge sharing.
• Collaborative mindset focused on internal customer service.
• Ability to meet daily deadlines.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3, Sass, JavaScript, jQuery, React (Gutenberg), Vue.js (preferred).
• ES6+, CSS Grid, Flexbox, and web accessibility best practices.
• npm task runners (e.g., WebPack), front‑end testing tools.
• Asynchronous request handling, REST APIs, AJAX, GraphQL.
• Google Tag Manager, WordPress APIs, theme hierarchy, custom Gutenberg block development.
• Jira, Slack, Git, and strong documentation abilities.
