Women’s Services RN – Night Shift (Per Diem)

About the role

The Women’s Services RN Night – Per Diem position provides direct nursing care to labor, delivery, post‑partum and newborn patients during night hours. Working under physician direction and Arizona nursing regulations, the RN delivers compassionate, evidence‑based care while supporting the unit’s vision of kindness and high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, and create individualized care plans.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions, ensuring compliance with standard precautions and preventing healthcare‑acquired conditions.
• Coordinate patient care quality, satisfaction, and nursing process compliance as a clinical lead.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and contribute to team communication and feedback.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Nursing or graduate of a Nursing Diploma program.
• Current, valid Arizona RN license (or compact state license) and BLS certification.
• Unit‑specific certifications: NRP (within 6 months), ACLS (within 3 months), S.T.A.B.L.E. (within 6 months), AWHONN Fetal Monitor course (basic within 6 months, intermediate within 12 months), Basic EKG competency (within 30 days).

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Professional Adult Life Support (PALS) certification.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification.
