Windows/Linux System Administrator

About the role

This new position supports a mixed Windows and Linux environment that is transitioning toward a Linux‑first infrastructure. You will work closely with the development team to stabilize existing Linux services and drive new capabilities, especially around containerization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support a hybrid Windows/Linux environment, gradually shifting focus to Linux.
• Act as the Linux subject‑matter expert for day‑to‑day operations (Red Hat 7/8/9).
• Partner with the development team to expand and stabilize Linux services.
• Support and explore containerization initiatives using OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Manage patching, security compliance, and system performance.
• Troubleshoot operating system, server, and application issues.
• Participate in a 5‑week on‑call rotation (Friday to Friday).

Required profile

• 2–4 years of Linux administration experience, preferably Red Hat.
• Strong background in Windows systems administration.
• Hands‑on exposure to containerization technologies.
• Understanding of security, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with scripting, CI/CD, or automation tools is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and self‑starter mindset.
