About the role
Spark Power is seeking a traveling Wind Turbine Technician to support maintenance and repair projects across the United States. The role involves working on wind turbine generators, performing inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring safe operations in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance on wind turbine generators, including inspection, greasing, cleaning, torquing and tensioning of bolted connections.
- Apply lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) procedures and conduct electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Follow specific work procedures to inspect, repair, and maintain turbine components.
- Document daily activities, client communications, and company reports accurately.
- Maintain a clean work area, tools, and equipment.
- Comply with all health and safety policies to achieve a zero‑incident workplace.
- Maintain required certifications such as Fall Protection, NFPA 70E, OSHA 10, and First Aid/CPR/AED.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Wind Turbine Technician or in electro‑mechanical maintenance is preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and possession of LOTO certification.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 80‑100 % of the time across the US.
- Physical ability to lift at least 23 kg (50 lb) and work at heights up to 400 ft.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions and confined spaces.

- Experience with motors, rotors, drives, and gears
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including torque tools
