Whole Loans Operations Analyst

About the role

Santander is seeking a Whole Loans Operations Analyst to support loan and letter of credit booking, funding, payments, and ongoing maintenance for its commercial banking portfolio. The analyst will work closely with business areas to ensure accurate processing and compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Book, fund, and service commercial loans and letters of credit.
• Interpret credit agreements and calculate loan/fee accruals.
• Perform ad‑hoc reconciliations, remediation, and error‑report analysis.
• Research loan requests, payment histories, balances, and related documentation.
• Execute dollar transactions, collateral setup, GL balancing, and quality reviews.
• Maintain proper documentation for internal and external audits.
• Identify and resolve operational issues within established guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with banking documentation and operations.
• Strong communication, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt quickly, work collaboratively, and meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of commercial banking and syndicated loan products.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using various banking systems.
