West Coast Communications Manager

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a West Coast Communications Manager to partner with the Head of Communications. In this role you will help build a systematic media engine and deepen relationships across technology, AI, business, and emerging media outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day communications priorities, maintaining calendars, trackers, and agendas for announcements, media moments, and events.
• Coordinate internal workflows for product announcements, media opportunities, speaking engagements, and events, collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Executive teams.
• Develop and nurture relationships with tech reporters, AI beat reporters, newsletter writers, Substack authors, podcast hosts, and other emerging voices.
• Support end‑to‑end planning and execution of announcement launches, from strategy through post‑launch follow‑up.
• Draft pitches, media briefs, talking points, and preparation documents for spokespeople.
• Arrange interviews, briefings, podcast appearances, and speaking opportunities, handling logistics and prep.
• Maintain coverage trackers that capture press mentions, sentiment, and share of voice across key narratives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related or adjacent field.
• 5–7 years of experience in technology or communications roles.
• Proven ability to manage multiple communications projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience building and maintaining media calendars and trackers.
• Ability to draft clear and compelling pitches, briefs, and talking points.
• Familiarity with coordinating interviews, podcast appearances, and speaking engagements.
• Knowledge of tech and AI media landscape.
