About the role

The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope‑Texarkana seeks an experienced welding professional to join the Business Trade and Industrial department as a non‑tenure faculty member. The role involves delivering both classroom theory and hands‑on laboratory instruction to students pursuing welding certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and teach curriculum covering welding theory, safety, and practical techniques.
• Conduct laboratory sessions using various welding processes and equipment.
• Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and practical exams.
• Maintain workshop safety standards and equipment.
• Collaborate with department staff on program development and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Three to five years of professional experience in the welding industry.
• Demonstrated ability to teach both classroom and hands‑on laboratory instruction.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills.
