Weekend Test Manager II – Operations Management (MDP)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering, is seeking a Weekend Test Manager II to supervise production and test operations for its capital equipment. The role oversees employees across assembly, inspection, and final test functions, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise staff performing assembly, inspection, test, and final test of electronic, mechanical, and electro‑mechanical components.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and material availability.
• Lead operational meetings, milestone reviews, and performance‑metric tracking.
• Address operational issues affecting customer satisfaction and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety training and clean‑room PPE requirements.
• Develop personnel through training, performance management, and career‑development plans.
• Drive Lean, safety, and quality initiatives and implement process improvements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of procedures within the operations job family and basic knowledge of related functions.
• Ability to set priorities, coach employees, and meet daily deadlines.
• Strong judgment to resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems.
• Effective interpersonal skills to handle sensitive issues and interact with customers, vendors, or suppliers.
